She was abandoned at a young age yet she won a dignified family; He had a pampered childhood yet ended up with three divorces; She was always the prettiest of girls yet the last girl to get hitched; He had an embarrassing youth yet married one of the most respectful women; She wasn’t her parents’ favorite yet she had her best friend as the love of life; He was the lover boy to plenty of girls yet the only one to remain single; So no one told you life was gonna be this way.. The one always desperate to have a baby could not conceive while the one who deliberately avoided got pregnant; The one with the most secure job was the only one unhappy with the it while the one with the most uncertain job was the happiest of all; One wanted to announce being pregnant on other’s wedding while other actually happened to announce being pregnant on one’s wedding; So no one told you life was gonna be this way..

It was Saturday morning and I woke up at the first ring of my alarm at 6.00 AM and quickly started  getting ready. The recent previous hike to mission peak had accelerated my enthusiasm levels to take up the day’s hike to Mount Diablo Grand Loop Trail, one of the highest peaks in bay area. Karthik and I had planned for this hike almost a week back and Pramod and Priya also wished to tag along. As discussed the previous night they were supposed to pick us at our home at 7.00 AM. The morning chores dragged a little long for us and when Pramod and Priya reached our home we were still on the verge of completing our cereals. We invited them inside while we finished the breakfast and got our shoes on. The four of us left home at 7.30 AM and reached the venue by 8.30 AM. The route included even driving up the hill till we reached the start of our intended hike trail.
